Daniel B. Stancampiano

Writer/Editor

My name is Daniel Brian Stancampiano. I am a Bachelor of Arts in English Editing and Writing from Florida State University. I have also completed two minors -- International Affairs and Japanese Language. During the Summer of 2014, I have worked as a writing intern in the Office of Communications at the University of Florida Health Cancer Center. My main duties have included composing one or two articles per week to promote news concerning cancer research and patients' personal stories. I have also interviewed the patients and professionals involved in these experiences. Consequently, my internship has given me an opportunity to produce interesting nonfiction narratives with a journalistic approach, as well as writings about the professional profiles and experiences of those in charge of facilitating the development of scientific cancer trials. In addition, responding to a future affiliation of the center with another health care institution, I wrote updated website descriptions (introductions) for the 12 branches of the UF Health Cancer Center departments. Occassioanally, I have also taken on press releases for other departments in UF Health.

Aside from its homepage, this ePortfolio has five tabs that lead to my articles, interviews I have conducted, other written works (website updates/professional profiles), a personal reflection and final word count of all my internship projects, and my updated resume.
